Meet Our Team
We were founded on the belief that young people have the obligation and capability to shape the future of healthcare with equity at the forefront. Our team members are highly dedicated promoting mentorship and advocacy for students interested in health disparities work.
Stephanie Wang
Founder and Executive Director
Stephanie is a junior at Harvard College studying Molecular & Cellular Biology and Global Health & Health Policy. She conducts research on stem cell therapeutics for blood cancers at Boston Children's Hospital, equitable drug pricing at Harvard Medical School, cancer care delivery at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and is deeply passionate about making healthcare more affordable and and accessible. Outside of research, Stephanie served on the board of Harvard Consulting for Business and the Environment and World Pre-Health Conference, worked as a nursing assistant at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, and serves on the teaching staff in Harvard's Chemistry, Stem Cell Biology, and Statistics departments.
Tieri Rigamoto
Co-Executive Director
Tieri is a junior at Harvard College studying Neuroscience with a secondary in Global Health & Health Policy. She is passionate about Pasifika health and health equity, as well as how substance use disorders affect underserved communities. She is part of the Fagiolini lab at Boston Children's Hospital, where she explores potential treatments for Rett Syndrome, the Taparra Lab, where she focuses on NHPI health and amplifying Pacific Islander's voices, and The Roads to Recovery, where she focuses on harm reduction efforts in the Pacfic. Outside of the classroom and lab, she loves weightlifting, crocheting, and film photography!
Alice Zhou
Director of Publicity
Alice is a junior at Stanford University, majoring in biology and anthropology. She is dedicated to promoting health equity by merging clinical research with public policy to address health disparities. Alice is engaged in research at the Stanford Division of Gastroenterology, where she is developing an open-source database for liver recovery post-alcohol use. Additionally, she works at the nonprofit LifeMoves, where she has designed and implemented a substance use recovery program across multiple counties to aid unhoused populations. In her free time, Alice enjoys discovering new places to eat and is always looking for new music recommendations.
Shivani Babu
Co-Director of Outreach
Shivani is a sophomore at Stanford University studying human biology with an intended concentration in biomedical sciences and health policy. As a health equity advocate, she has researched cancer treatments at MD Anderson Cancer Center and provides play experiences for children that lack them at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. Shivani also co-developed an organization that provides free clinical care to underserved communities overseas. Outside of these, Shivani enjoys coaching Science Olympiad teams, trying new coffee spots, and long bike rides.
Shriya Garg
Co-Director of Outreach
Shriya Garg is a second-year Foundation Fellow and Stamps Scholar at the University of Georgia. Having grown up in rural Georgia throughout her childhood, Shriya has seen the need for more equitable healthcare access and healthcare delivery. Majoring in genetics and economics, Shriya hopes to pursue a career in health delivery at the intersection of medicine, business, and technology. She frequently engages in health advocacy and research regarding the “digital divide,” healthcare disparities/inequities, and cancer policy. She is an avid tennis player, and she loves traveling, listening to new music, and spending time with friends and family.
Arham Kundi
Director of Finance
Arham is a senior at the University of Texas at Dallas, majoring in Neuroscience. Passionate about clinical psychology, he conducts research on transcranial stimulation for dementia at UT Southwestern and examines health equity in incarcerated populations through the University of Missouri. Beyond research, Arham is dedicated to clinical care, serving as a medical assistant at community clinics for uninsured populations and as a treatment provider in psychiatric clinics. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and traveling with friends.
Shakeng Reagan Moua
Director of Engagement
Shakeng is currently a freshman on the BSN pathway. He is passionate about addressing global healthcare issues and the ethical implications of policy decisions. He has worked with Nigerian partners at Almajiri Miyetti Initiatives to face the rising tuberculosis cases in the Guru community of Bauchi, Nigeria. Separate from healthcare, Shakeng enjoys gardening and baking mochi sesame bread.

Dr. Flores has served in several leadership roles at MGH, including his current role as Vice Chair for Radiology Diversity Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and as the founding Director of the Radiology Inclusion and Systemic Equity (RISE) Center. Dr. Flores is a nationally recognized health services researcher focused on understanding health disparities and advancing health equity among historically underserved racial and ethnic minority communities. In recognition of his health disparities research advancing health equity, Dr. Flores has been awarded numerous awarded grants, invited to multiple presentations nationally, and peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Flores health equity work is guided by the overarching goal of fostering trust and a sense of belonging. In recognition for his work, Dr. Flores was selected as one of the inaugural National Academy of Medicine Scholars in Diagnostic Excellence in 2021, and currently serves in several institutional and national committees, including as Co-Chair of the Health Equity Committee for the Radiological Society of North America and as Associate Editor of Health Equity for the Journal of the American College of Radiology.
Research
Sebastian Pintea
Director of Research - Environmental Health
Sebastian is a junior at Stanford University studying Environmental Systems Engineering and Spanish. He conducts research in anesthesiology and psychiatry at Stanford School of Medicine, spearheading personal projects in environmental health and working at the Office of Sustainability. He founded project AWISH at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital which supports his mission in increasing sustainability in healthcare through education and volunteerism. Outside of his work, he volunteers at Cardinal Free Clinics, does recreational swim, serves on the board of Students for a Sustainable Stanford, co-directs Stanford Climate and Health, and is a hip hop dancer for Legacy Dance at Stanford.
Alice Feng
Director of Research - Cancer
Alice is a junior at Harvard College studying Applied Math and Molecular & Cellular Biology. She’s highly passionate about improving cancer treatment and understanding through genomics research and also conducts research on cancer drug pricing and the ethics of animal testing. Outside of health research, Alice is deeply involved with figure skating and Asian American dance.
Daniel Kim
Director of Research - Infectious Diseases
Daniel is a junior at Harvard College studying History and Science with a secondary in Government. Passionate about exploring the intersection between clinical medicine and health equity, he is currently pursuing research on HIV vaccines at BIDMC. At Harvard, Daniel serves on the Board of Harvard Undergraduate Consulting on Business and the Environment, and is a member of the Harvard International Review. After college, Daniel hopes to enter the professional realm to explore his interests in strategy, analytics, and healthcare. In his free time, Daniel loves to try out new eateries around town, watch movies, and explore new cities.
Krista Wong
Director of Research - Mental Health
Krista is a junior at Stanford University studying Human Biology with a concentration in Cellular Biology and Bioinformatics. She conducts research on heart failure with Stanford Cardiovascular Medicine, as well as global health research on community acquired pneumonia in low and middle income countries with the Maternal & Child Health Research Institute. In her free time, she loves to play the flute with the Stanford Wind Symphony, go for runs and swims, and try new coffee places with friends.
Salma Ngokila
Director of Research - Reproductive Health
Salma is a freshman at UMASS Lowell and is majoring in Applied Biomedical Science on the pre-med and medical laboratory sciences track. Her previous research in nutritional and metabolic health involves the rise of Ozempic and its impact on low-income individuals — a project that she pursued as a researcher in the fall HDTT fellowship. Outside of research, Salma has played competitive basketball for eight years.
Jessica Zhuo
Director of Research - Neurological Health
Jessica Zhuo is a sophomore in Cabot House concentrating in Neuroscience on the Honors Mind, Brain, & Behavior track. She conducts neuroendocrinology research on vasomotor menopause symtomps at Brigham Women's Hospital and precision brain circuit modulation research at Harvard Medical School. She is also passionate about health & educational equity and serves as a chair for Harvard's Mission Brain and an intern at the Harvard Global Health Institute. In her free time, she enjoys cafe-hopping and running her Depop jewelry business!
David An
Director of Research - Cardiovascular Health
David is a sophomore in Eliot house studying Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. Outside of HDTT, he researches biomechanical control of endothelial cell size with Brigham and Women's Hospital, does research on extra-pulmonary TB with Brigham and Women's, and researches endothelial cell morphology in brain aneurysms with Harvard Radcliffe Institute. David also serves on the masthead for the Harvard Undergraduate Health Policy Review and on the board for the Harvard Undergraduate Research Journal. Outside of Harvard, he is building up HealthPath Horizons, an organization dedicated to empowering low-income students to pursue a career in medicine.
Policy
Luke Chen
Co-Director of Policy
Luke is a sophomore at Harvard College studying Chemical and Physical Biology. He is originally from Overland Park, KS. Outside of HDTT, he is studying immune-related proteins using CRISPR in Brian Liau's lab. He serves as Director of Service for the Harvard Undergraduate Science Olympiad, and is also involved in Taekwondo and Quiz Bowl. Luke serves on the course staff of Harvard's course Chemistry 100R where he leads a science advocacy summit for students in the course to meet with legislators in DC and present bills important to science policy.
Aneesh Mazumder
Co-Director of Policy
Aneesh is a sophomore at Harvard College from Dallas, Texas, studying Neuroscience and Government. He is currently conducting research on neurodegenerative diseases at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. There, he is working to understand the mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s and develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for the disease. Additionally, he is exploring the implementation of artificial intelligence-based technologies, such as large language models, across various domains of the clinical workflow. Outside of research, Aneesh serves as an advocate for legislation that promotes more equitable healthcare.

Juliet Horenziak
Editor-in-Chief
Juliet is a junior at Stanford University studying Psychology and Biology. She is passionate about child health, improving access to care, and exploring the intersection between psychology and clinical medicine. She conducts neuroscience research on visual perception and infant brain development, and she is also researching how to improve social support services for community based healthcare clinics in the Bay Area. Juliet enjoys working as a youth gymnastics coach and is the VP of Stanford’s club cross country and track team.
Anissa Kurani
Co-Managing Editor
Anissa Kurani is a medical student at the Georgetown University School of Medicine, with degrees from Harvard University and Wellesley College. She has contributed to research in organic chemistry aimed at enhancing the cost-effectiveness of pharmaceutical drugs and co-led the Arete Fellowship at MIT. Her comprehensive academic background and clinical experience have motivated her to utilize theoretical and empirical strategies to improve patients' lived experiences. Her recent work involves proposing guidelines for ethical psychiatric studies and access to palliative care. At Georgetown, she is currently serving as Chief Club Officer on the Executive Student Council.
Anirudh Mazumder
Co-Managing Editor
Anirudh Mazumder is a senior at the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science (TAMS) studying Computer Science. He is passionate about developing computational tools to help save human lives and exploring the intersection between Artificial Intelligence and Healthcare issues. He does research on developing control algorithms to help soft robots move optimally inside the human body for biomedical applications and on using bioinformatics to generate novel insights into different diseases. At TAMS, Anirudh is currently an executive board member for the TAMS Research Organization and a TAMS representative at the University of North Texas Student Government Association.
