    Stephanie Wang

    Executive Director

    Stephanie is a rising junior at Harvard College studying Molecular & Cellular Biology and Global Health & Health Policy. She conducts research on stem cell therapeutics for blood cancers at Boston Children's Hospital, equitable drug pricing at Harvard Medical School, cancer care delivery at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and is deeply passionate about reducing health disparities in cancer care. Outside of research, Stephanie served on the board of Harvard Consulting for Business and the Environment and World Pre-Health Conference, directs the Harvard College Alzheimer's Buddies, and works as a nursing assistant at Massachusetts Eye and Ear.

    Tieri Rigamoto

    Director of Operations

    Tieri is a rising junior at Harvard College studying Neuroscience with a secondary in Mind, Brain, & Behavior. She conducts research on treatments for neurodevelopmental disorders at Boston Children's Hospital and is passionate about Pasifika health and health equity, as well as how neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders affect underserved communities. On campus, Tieri is part of the Engagement Team for OpenBio, a student organization centered on making biology more accessible to underserved populations, is the head of communications for the Harvard Hawaii Club, and works as an Instructor for Rose Debate.

    Khushi Kohli

    Director of Research - Maternal & Child Health

    Khushi is a senior at Harvard University from Kansas City, concentrating in Molecular and Cellular with a secondary in Global Health. With HDTT, Khushi serves as the Director of Research for Maternal & Child Health. Outside this role, Khushi conducts research on pediatric leukemia and melanoma at Boston Children’s Hospital, studies cancer health disparities at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, is leading a global health intervention against maternal mortality in Haiti, and spent a summer working in South Africa on an HIV clinical trial. In her free time, Khushi loves DJ-ing for “The Darker Side” radio show on WHRB 95.3 FM, taking walks by the Charles, making Chipotle runs with friends and family, and Tae Kwon Do (she’s a black belt!).

    Alice Feng

    Director of Research - Cancer

    Alice is a rising junior at Harvard College studying Applied Math and Molecular & Cellular Biology. She’s highly passionate about improving cancer treatment and understanding through genomics research and also conducts research on cancer drug pricing and the ethics of animal testing. Outside of health research, Alice is deeply involved with figure skating and Asian American dance.

    Daniel Kim

    Director of Research - HIV/AIDS

    Daniel is a rising junior at Harvard College studying History and Science with a secondary in Government as a pre-medical student. He is passionate about exploring the intersection between clinical medicine and health equity, and is currently pursuing research on HIV vaccines at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. At Harvard, Daniel is a part of Harvard Undergraduate Consulting on Business and the Environment and Synthesis (the undergraduate HistSci journal). In his free time, Daniel loves to try out new eateries around town, watch movies, and explore new cities.

    Krista Wong

    Director of Research - Cardiovascular Health

    Krista is a rising junior at Stanford University studying Human Biology with a concentration in Cellular Biology and Bioinformatics. She conducts research on heart failure with Stanford Cardiovascular Medicine, as well as global health research on community acquired pneumonia in low and middle income countries with the Maternal & Child Health Research Institute. In her free time, she loves to play the flute with the Stanford Wind Symphony, go for runs and swims, and try new coffee places with friends.

    Brandon Campbell

    Director of Research - Diabetes & Obesity

    Brandon is a junior at Harvard College studying Molecular and Cellular Biology. He conducts stem cell research in the Wagers Lab, where he investigates factors that cause atherosclerosis in the aorta. He has developed and tested experimental applications of in vivo gene editing and gene therapy technologies, and uses adeno-associated viruses as a vector to induce clonal hematopoiesis in mice to identify key factors contributing to the aging process. Outside of research he has a strong background in serving low-income communities and co-founded the Boston Tax Help Coalition’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. He is also working on establishing a Harvard Food Pantry. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, cooking, and fishing.

    Sebastian Pintea

    Director of Research - Environmental Health

    Sebastian is a junior at Stanford University studying Environmental Systems Engineering and Spanish. He conducts research in anesthesiology and psychiatry at Stanford School of Medicine, spearheading personal projects in environmental health and working at the Office of Sustainability. He founded project AWISH at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital which supports his mission in increasing sustainability in healthcare through education and volunteerism. Outside of his work, he volunteers at Cardinal Free Clinics, does recreational swim, serves on the board of Students for a Sustainable Stanford, co-directs Stanford Climate and Health, and is a hip hop dancer for Legacy Dance at Stanford.

    Aneesh Mazumder

    Director of Research - Rare Diseases

    Aneesh is a sophomore at Harvard College from Dallas, Texas, studying Neuroscience and Government. He is currently conducting research on neurodegenerative diseases at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. There, he is working to understand the mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s and develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for the disease. Additionally, he is exploring the implementation of artificial intelligence-based technologies, such as large language models, across various domains of the clinical workflow. Outside of research, Aneesh serves as an advocate for legislation that promotes more equitable healthcare.

    David An

    Director of Research - Respiratory Health

    David is a rising sophomore in Eliot house studying Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. Outside of HDTT, he researches biomechanical control of endothelial cell size with Brigham and Women's Hospital, does research on extra-pulmonary TB with Brigham and Women's, and researches endothelial cell morphology in brain aneurysms with Harvard Radcliffe Institute. David also serves on the masthead for the Harvard Undergraduate Health Policy Review and on the board for the Harvard Undergraduate Research Journal. Outside of Harvard, he is building up HealthPath Horizons, an organization dedicated to empowering low-income students to pursue a career in medicine.

    Jessica Zhuo

    Director of Outreach

    Jessica Zhuo is a sophomore in Cabot House concentrating in Neuroscience on the Honors Mind, Brain, & Behavior track. She conducts neuroendocrinology research on vasomotor menopause symtomps at Brigham Women's Hospital and precision brain circuit modulation research at Harvard Medical School. She is also passionate about health & educational equity and serves as a chair for Harvard's Mission Brain and an intern at the Harvard Global Health Institute. In her free time, she enjoys cafe-hopping and running her Depop jewelry business!

    Sonya Kulkarni

    Co-Director of Policy

    Sonya is a rising sophomore at Harvard College studying Molecular & Cellular Biology and Economics. She is an associate for Harvard Undergraduate Consulting on Business and the Environment and a writer for the Harvard Undergraduate Health Policy Review, and has conducted research in neurodevelopment in pediatric HIV and translational molecular diagnostics at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Sonya is also a National Ambassador for the American Cancer Society and leads policy initiatives for pediatric cancer patients in Congress. Her academic and extracurricular pursuits are fueled by a fervent interest in the intersection between health, policy, and business, particularly in effecting meaningful change in drug pricing and cancer care.

    Luke Chen

    Co-Director of Policy

    Luke is a sophomore at Harvard College studying Chemical and Physical Biology. He is originally from Overland Park, KS. Outside of HDTT, he is studying immune-related proteins using CRISPR in Brian Liau's lab. He serves as Director of Service for the Harvard Undergraduate Science Olympiad, and is also involved in Taekwondo and Quiz Bowl. Luke serves on the course staff of Harvard's course Chemistry 100R where he leads a science advocacy summit for students in the course to meet with legislators in DC and present bills important to science policy.

    Minjue Wu

    Co-Director of Policy

    Minjue is a current Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University, where she is pursuing a Masters of Management Sciences in Global Affairs and Public Policy. She graduated from Harvard with the College's inaugural double concentration in History & Science and Molecular & Cellular Biology and a secondary in Computer Science. Minjue was a recipient of the Priscilla Chan Stride and Harvard Pforzheimer Fellowships for a two-year project to expand UN-standards abiding comprehensive sexual education for migrant families in Beijing. Besides serving as Health Policy Chair at the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics, she has previously conducted research on long COVID at Harvard Medical School, neuron stem cell modeling at Mass General, HIV/AIDS interventions in South Africa, and digital health innovation incubation for tuberculosis at the United Nations. Minjue is fascinated with tackling global health inequities through culturally competent community medicine, data-driven policy, and decentralized healthcare.

    Cheryl Tolomeo

    Director of Publications

    Cheryl is a junior at Stanford University studying Human Biology concentrating in child development and global health equity. Currently holding a research position at the Talbot Lab of developmental biology, Cheryl assists research of the glial cells and myelin formation of zebrafish to define animal models of critical human neurological disorders. Cheryl has previous experience in research of preeclampsia with the Winn Lab of Obstetrics and Gynecology, defining health equity with the Office of Community Engagement at Stanford Medicine, as well as developing and proposing a equitable approach to academic curriculum for students with developmental disabilities with the Magical Bridge Foundation. Outside of academics, Cheryl was a Stanford Dollie 23'-24', the 5-person dance team on campus, and encourages her love for both children and dance by teaching regular classes for 2-8 year olds at her childhood dance studio.

    Juliet Horenziak

    Senior Editor

    Juliet is a junior at Stanford University studying Psychology and Biology. She is passionate about child health, improving access to care, and exploring the intersection between psychology and clinical medicine. She conducts neuroscience research on visual perception and infant brain development, and she is also researching how to improve social support services for community based healthcare clinics in the Bay Area. Juliet enjoys working as a youth gymnastics coach and is the VP of Stanford’s club cross country and track team.

    Anissa Kurani

    Senior Editor

    Anissa Kurani is a medical student at the Georgetown University School of Medicine, with degrees from Harvard University and Wellesley College. She has contributed to research in organic chemistry aimed at enhancing the cost-effectiveness of pharmaceutical drugs and co-led the Arete Fellowship at MIT. Her comprehensive academic background and clinical experience have motivated her to utilize theoretical and empirical strategies to improve patients' lived experiences. Her recent work involves proposing guidelines for ethical psychiatric studies and access to palliative care. At Georgetown, she is currently serving as Chief Club Officer on the Executive Student Council.

    Madeleine is a rising junior at Harvard college studying Economics, Computer Science, and Spanish. She is passionate about health economics and has done past research at Harvard Law School and the Broad Institute. At Harvard, Madeleine is an associate and a think tank team lead for Harvard Consulting on Business and the Environment, a senior reporter for the Harvard Crimson, and a board member of the Harvard Half Asian People’s Association.

    Efren Flores, MD

    Dr. Flores has served in several leadership roles at MGH, including his current role as Vice Chair for Radiology Diversity Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and as the founding Director of the Radiology Inclusion and Systemic Equity (RISE) Center. Dr. Flores is a nationally recognized health services researcher focused on understanding health disparities and advancing health equity among historically underserved racial and ethnic minority communities. In recognition of his health disparities research advancing health equity, Dr. Flores has been awarded numerous awarded grants, invited to multiple presentations nationally, and peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Flores health equity work is guided by the overarching goal of fostering trust and a sense of belonging. In recognition for his work, Dr. Flores was selected as one of the inaugural National Academy of Medicine Scholars in Diagnostic Excellence in 2021, and currently serves in several institutional and national committees, including as Co-Chair of the Health Equity Committee for the Radiological Society of North America and as Associate Editor of Health Equity for the Journal of the American College of Radiology.
